Growth happening all around

I can't believe my baby girl is already 11 weeks old!! It's amazing how fast time flies by. At Savannah's last doctors appointment, I finally asked what percentile she fell into since Oscar and I have always thought that she seems so big. It turns out that for her weight she is OFF THE CHARTS!!! She now weighs 14.5 lbs!! The doctor says she is absolutely perfect even if she is a little chunky. All that extra cushion did help while getting her first shot. She didn't even flinch when the needle went into her chubby little thigh. She obviously takes after her dad in that department. I still throw a fit every time a needle comes my way! Anyways, at 2 and 1/2 months Savannah is perfectly healthy in every way. We have been so blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy baby. She is such a joy to be around--always smiling and so alert. She is holding her head up by herself almost all the time and she is reaching and grabbing for everything. Any day now I'm expecting to hear her first giggle. And she loves to stand on her feet. We're hoping that she's going to skip over the crawling stage and go straight to walking :)

Now if only I could get her out of our bed at night. Anyone who says that a baby can't be spoiled has to come see mine. After a couple of nights of putting her beside me in bed (at 4 am I'm too tired to rock anymore), she thinks that she's now too big for her bassinet. She'll actually sleep straight through the night as long as she's in between me and Oscar. I must say that I'm enjoying all this sleep but I know that one day I'll come to regret this little act of laziness on my part. Oh well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Our house is almost in the last stage of building. The outside is just about totally done and they're working on the inside. It's looking like our official move date is March 30. We sooooo can't wait to get out of the city. Oscar is like a kid at Christmas-time. These last 2 months he's going to drive me crazy! Here is the latest picture that the builder sent me a couple of weeks ago.
