Sea Island 2013

Awwwww, Sea Island.....what can I say about this fabulous place?!  It's our third year going as a family and it gets better and better each year.  And I don't just mean it gets better for us.  I mean the resort literally gets better.  Things you didn't even realize that needed improvement just magically seem better the next year.  That's one of the many things that I love about this place.  It really is 5-star all the way.
This year we arrived on Saturday June 29th and stayed until Saturday July 6th.  It was a week full of great beach/pool time; super yummy food; hot and humid morning family runs; daily tea and cookie breaks while playing checkers and scrabble; EARLY EARLY mornings with my favorite little man, coffee, and the locals; breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the river; somewhat early bedtimes; and lots of wonderful memories for our new little family of four.

Such good times!  I think we had been home a week before Oscar started asking if it's time to go back yet.  Only 334 more days to go!!  It never comes soon enough.  And yes, we've already rebooked the same room for the same days in 2014.  Can't wait!!

WEA at 7 Months Old

Seven months?!?!  Already??!!  He keeps getting closer and closer to a year old and I don't like it one bit.  If only I could make each month last 60 days instead of 30.

My little chunky man is growing entirely way too fast!  He is outgrowing clothes left and right, he has outgrown his second bath seat, and he's even outgrown his car seat.  Make it stop!!!  I'm estimating that he is approximately 27 pounds but considering all my past estimates I'm probably a pound or two off.  With that being said, it's official that I have an enormous little guy.  But I guess that just gives me more to snuggle and squeeze.  He really is just the cutest little boy and I know that I'm biased but I also hear it from EVERYONE.  We can't make it down a single grocery store isle without being stopped for several minutes by some lady who just has to squeeze his thighs.  Thankfully he adores all the attention and he just lights up whenever a stranger starts talking to him.  I, on the other hand, start to get a little annoyed by all the disruptions during my outing.  Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay when you make beautiful babies :)

Walker's 7 month  milestones:
~becoming much more stable sitting up
~constantly rolling over whenever he is placed on his back.  This makes diaper changing almost impossible.
~passing objects from one hand to the other hand.
~attempting to drink from a sippy cup.
~eating fruits, veggies, and yogurt two to three times a day.
~he is allergic to something that he's eaten but I haven't quite figured out which fruit or veggie is causing the rash on his bottom.  He also recently broke out on his face and that rash puzzles me even more than the diaper rash---it appeared after I stopped feeding him any solids.  This little guy is just going to be my overly sensitive and more sickly child (basically another Harlan Jr.--go figure).
~smiles and laughs 24/7.  He is always sooooo happy!  You may think I pick and choose to only show the pictures where he is smiling but honestly he smiles in all the pictures.  It's rare to find a pic where he doesn't look happy.
~I'm almost certain that I've heard him say "maaaa" so I'm taking credit as his first word :)
~loves to play with his toys and gets mad if you (ahem, Savannah) take one away.
~still adores his big sister.
~very interested in Max and Lilly Belle.  He likes to follow Lilly around and she's even been sweet enough to let him pet her and occasionally pull her hair.
~he is definitely a mama's boy and I LOVE IT!!  Although my lower back would probably disagree.
~he is getting much stronger in his upper body so he may just surprise us all and start crawling right around the time Savannah started to crawl.  (fyi, she started crawling at 7 months and 3 weeks)
~he still hasn't sprouted a tooth but he definitely displays all the typical teething signs.  It's gotta happen any day now.
vacation baths in the sink
rolling out of his lounger
the new baby bath
trying to figure out the sippy cup
We sure do love this little man soooooo much!!!  He adds so much joy and laughter to our family.  As much as I hate to see you get bigger, I love to watch you grow.  Happy 7 months little man!
