Goodbye Summertime

After returning from Texas there wasn't much time before school started for Savannah.  We spent our days playing at the pool and enjoying lazy mornings at home.  Savannah had one match left in her junior golf league and she shot her lowest score yet.  We're so proud of our little girlie golfer.  She was the youngest player and the only girl in her league.

I can't believe school is about to start! As much as I look forward to the routine and having a few hours to myself that the school years affords me, I sure do miss having these 2 kiddos around all day.

Our Happy Place

This year we visited Sea Island the week before July 4th in hopes of avoiding the crowds and we were right.  Never again will be go during July.  It was so nice to be there and not have to fight for pool chairs or to stress out over dinner reservations.

Our daily activities were pretty much the same as years past: morning run/workout, breakfast at the beach club, pool time, tea time, dinner and few special activities thrown in here and there.

So many great memories are made each year.  As the kids get older, it's a little more relaxing for me.  It's so fun to be able to sit back and watch them play with the other children that we've watch grow up over the years.  Savannah is already asking about seeing her friends at the pool next year.  The countdown is on for Happy Place 2017!
