October is becoming quite the busy month. After our trip to the Greenbriar we participated for half of the campout at the country club. I say half because we weren't about to sleep out in tents on the golf course. So we went for the cookout and smores and stayed to play a few games in the dark. Maybe next year we will be ready to the actual campout....or maybe not.

And what October is complete without a few trips to the pumpkin patch. The first one was the Pumpkin train at the Museum of Life and Science.

I planned our first Daisy field trip to a pumpkin patch and corn maze in Cary. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it went. So many parents came along with siblings and everyone had so much fun.

The kids and I planned a last minute trip to Texas to surprise Grams on her birthday and also to see the newest Johnsons who were going to be visiting from Denver. Everyone knew we were coming except Grams so Grandad picked us up at the airport while she was working and the kids and I hid in the closet when she came home. As soon as she walked into the bathroom, we jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE!". We were only able to visit for a few days so we crammed a lot into those 3 days.
On Saturday, October 29th we went into Houston to attend a Halloween sip and see with the babies. It's been a long wait and I could barely contain my excitement at finally being able to see and hold them both. I was not very happy about having to share them with everyone else at the party.

We returned home on Sunday the 30th, just in time to get ready for Halloween. First thing to do is carve our pumpkins. Each kiddo had their own pumpkin to design and carve however they wanted. Halloween fell on a Monday this year so after school it was time to get ready. Savannah was a butterfly fairy and Walker was a train engine/conductor.
And now that Halloween is past, it's time to get ready for birthdays and holidays!
