The Adventures of the Elves

I had every intention on taking daily pictures of all the shenanigans that our little elves got into this Christmas season but that didn't quite happen.  I'll try again next year but here is what I did manage to capture.

Wink returned on December 1st and she brought along another elf friend because apparently two sets of eyes are needed to watch over this household.  Walker chose the name Charlie which is probably very appropriate since the other Charlie in this family is Grams' wild, mischievous little dog.  The first morning they brought along cinnamon rolls from Mrs. Claus' kitchen, 2 advent calendars, and an advent storybook.  Both kiddos were beyond thrilled at their arrival and couldn't wait to see what all those little elves had in store for them over the next 24 days.
First morning
they suggested the kids start thinking of gift ideas
they travelled to NYC to stay at the Pierre with us
just hanging around the hotel room
making smores
they brought special envelopes to deliver Christmas lists to Santa
Charlie grabbing some chocolate
Wink reading a new Christmas book
they decorated the stairs
they delivered tickets and new Disney outfits to wear to Disney on Ice
Charlie back in the chocolate
Wink enjoying a beverage
more hanging around
Christmas Eve morning they had a snowball fight
I love the magic these two little elves bring to our household during this special time of year.  Savannah absolutely adores her little elf and her heart breaks just a little on Christmas morning when she realizes that Wink is gone for another 11 months.  Oh how I love the innocence of childhood!

The Adventures of Wink 2014

Our mischievous little scout elf, Wink, arrived on Monday December 1st.  She went on to spend the next 24 days watching over Savannah and Walker and then flying back to the North Pole each night to report back to Santa.  Every morning Savannah would rush downstairs so she could be the first to spot Wink and see any surprises that she had in store for them.
Wink's first morning and she made blueberry muffin
blending in with the pictures
a sweet and subtle message
Wink made Savannah's school lunch one morning
she found her way into the candy jar
enjoying an early morning beverage
she TP'd the Christmas tree
helping to decorate for Walker's party
she hid a dozen candy canes for Savannah to find
she partied a little too much one night so she needed to nap throughout the day
she made a zipline
remembering the reason for the season
she gifted S and W elf jammies
the last morning and she brought donuts
We so enjoyed having Wink spend the days leading up to Christmas with us.  Every morning was like a little surprise.  We're always so sad to see her go and we're already looking forward to her return next December 1st.

The Adventures of Wink

This year our little scout elf, Wink, got into quite a lot of mischief every night.  I was hoping to remember to take a picture of all of her shenanigans each morning but of course I forgot.  Instead I only took 5 pictures out of 25 days......oh well, there's always next year.
Wink's first morning back with us
she made blueberry muffins and while they were baking she decided to make a snow angel in the flour
playing Don't Break the Ice with Abby
taking a marshmallow bath
playing doctor with Abby
riding the reindeer on her final morning and she left a goodbye note for S and W
A few of her other places included: hanging upside down from the light pendants, inside of Tinkerbelle's house, swinging from a makeshift swing in the doorway, sitting a top of the easel with a special birthday note to Walker, reading Christmas cards beside the card tree, sitting at Savannah's table cutting out snowflakes, looking out from atop the kitchen cabinets, and laying on the counter drawing a self-portrait.  Savannah had sooooo much fun looking for Wink every morning and seeing what kind of adventures she had overnight.  We sure are going to miss our little elf friend and we hope she has a nice break at the North Pole before she returns back to us next Thanksgiving.
